Mint Linux: Stable and one of the more generally
supported linux based operating systems. I obviously
play with other linux operating systems, but when I just
want something to work, I fall back to Mint
Proxmox Linux: I like to use this flavor of Linux
on servers that I am using. Easy to configure and link
with other systems. They have an enterprise version, but
the free one works well
Vim: One of the best general text editers out
there. Lightweight and customizable. Keyboard motions
make for easy development
Zed: Rust based IDE that supports Vim. Similar to
Visual Studio Code I guess. Useful for larger projects.
Signal: Encrypted messaging service. Easy to use
on both Mobile, Desktop, and there techically is a
command line version.
Raw Thearapee: Open sourced photo editing
software similar to Photoshop. Lots of functions and is
easy to use with multiple file system, directories,
projects, etc.
Kdenlive: Open sourced video editing software.
Does everything I need it to do for Capture White Smoke
Krita: Open sourced "drawing and painting"
software. I also use this for minor edits to my photos
for Capture White Smoke
Only Office: Open sourced collaberative document
editor. Hopefully they do not sell out
Libre Office: Not as good as Only Office, but I
still use it time to time as a static document editor
Photography
Cannon EOS2000D: Cheaper camera that got me into
the field of photography. Does everything you would want
it to do. Parts and extra gear is easy to find
